ABFE is accepting applications and paying the full costs to attend their Catalyzing Community Giving Institute
We just received word that ABFE is accepting applications and paying the full costs to attend their Catalyzing Community Giving Institute which will be held on 11/30/17 – 12/3/17 in New York. This institute is geared towards building the capacity of Black organizations. Participants will gain a better understanding of philanthropy’s landscape and infrastructure, learn how to improve fundraising efforts, and become knowledgeable about ABFE’s Responsive Philanthropy in Black Communities framework.
For all interested, applications are due on November 8th. I will include the full text and a means to apply below.
CATALYZING COMMUNITY GIVING INSTITUTE (CCGI)
ABFE invites your organization to apply for participation in the Catalyzing Community Giving Institute (CCGI), November 30 - December 3, 2017 at the Hilton Garden Inn in New York City. CCGI is designed to build the capacity of Black organizations by increasing their understanding of:
The national and regional philanthropic landscape and infrastructure of organized philanthropy;
Sound fundraising principles and techniques, including strategies and best practices for building and managing comprehensive development programs; and
ABFE's Responsive Philanthropy in Black Communities framework as a strategy for transformative philanthropy.
As a result of your organization's participation in CCGI and follow-up activities, you will be able to grow individual giving to your organization and increase levels of philanthropic support for Black communities. Your organization will complete a strategic fundraising plan at the end of the workshop and receive coaching over a six-month period for implementation.
If selected, the full costs of participation in the Catalyzing Community Giving Institute for up to three (3) representatives of your organization are covered by ABFE, including travel to and from the Institute, accommodations, meals and registration.
