Another grant opportunity came my way over the weekend. The Annie E. Casey Foundation just announced a new exploratory grant program to reduce household debt in communities of color, particularly in southern states. Letters of Interest should be submitted by August 18th. If this sounds like a good opportunity for you, please see below.

The Annie E. Casey Foundation is pleased to announce a 12 month exploratory grant program to reduce household debt in communities of color, particularly in southern states where child outcomes are the worst. We seek to support programs or initiatives that:

• Reduce the number of families getting into debt

• Reduce the cost of financial products

• Increase access to alternative products that minimize debt burden

• Create policies that reduce/align fines and fees with one’s ability to pay.

Please submit a letter of interest (LOI) as a PDF document via email to Don Baylor at dbaylor@aecf.org and copy Velvet Bryant at vbryant@aecg.org by August 18, 2017. Don and Velvet may also answer any questions you may have.
