I hope you're doing as best as you can with everything that's happening. I know for me as a Black woman, this past week has been one of the more difficult weeks I've ever experienced. NCRP is still holding our member huddle this Thursday at 1 PM EST (register/join here).
We know you all are facing a lot right now, but we still wanted to hold space for whoever could join. We are planning to have Aaron discuss what's been happening in philanthropy over the last several months, BUT if you just need community, if you just want to vent, if you have other questions related to philanthropy, you're welcome to bring that as well. We'll make space for whatever.
Also including some information about new funds that are available in case either of them would benefit your work.
Standing in solidarity with you. (Our statement on recent events is here.)

The Momentum Fund - The Momentum Fund will provide grants to 501(c)(3) organizations that are managing an active COVID-19 fund. The grants will help these organizations build their capacity so that they can effectively grow, promote, manage and sustain their funds (whether they need to add new staff, access consulting expertise, acquire new software, etc.). Funding from the Momentum Fund will support US-based 501(c)(3) organizations managing COVID-19 funds that are providing grants to other 501(c)(3) organizations that are meeting the needs of communities and populations whose health and/or financial situations have been most severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and who have been historically marginalized and under-served in our country. Grants will be awarded in amounts up to $100,000 and a total of $8.5 million will be awarded, thanks to an investment by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Applications for the Momentum Fund will be accepted until 3:00 pm ET | 12 pm PT on Thursday, June 18, 2020.
Fund for Shared Insight Listen4Good Co-Funded Grants - Listen4Good is a Fund for Shared Insight initiative designed to help nonprofits build sustainable, high-quality, client-focused feedback loops that lead to meaningful change. Our goal is to provide widespread access to tools and resources that increase the capacity among organizations to systematically listen to and respond to the people they seek to help. In order to apply to participate in Listen4Good’s co-funded grant rounds, nonprofits must be nominated by one of their current funders (existing or new). If the nominated nonprofit is selected to participate in L4G, the nominating funder will contribute $15,000 of the $30,000 grant total for each nonprofit selected. (Note: Funders can nominate more than one nonprofit.) The deadline for the nonprofit application is July 17, 2020.
